09/04/09 Literacy in Action:  Reading Academy - This program is designed to provide in-depth training for schools/teachers located in the Southwest Region and will focus on teaching the content of the Grade-Level Expectations (GLEs) and instructional strategies for READING.  The academy is a year-long commitment that consists of four regional trainings.  Training dates are 9/4/09, 10/16/09, 11/16/09, and 1/15/10.  Application due August 1, 2009  Parking Pass Required
09/18/09 Literacy in Action:  Writing Academy - This program is designed to provide in-depth training for schools/teachers located in the Southwest Region and will focus on teaching the content of the Grade-Level Expectations (GLEs) and instructional strategies for WRITING.  The academy is a year-long commitment that consists of four regional trainings.  Training dates are 9/18/09, 10/23/09, 11/23/09, and 1/22/10.  Application due August 1, 2009  Parking Pass Required
09/28/09 MAP Boot Camp - Training for Successful Test Administration - This workshop is designed for NEW district/building test coordinators for the MAP Grade Level and EOC Assessments.  Do you have the most recent information regarding Assessment updates?  Would you like tips on preparing for a positive testing environment?  Do you have questions about the accommodations that can be used on MAP Grade Level and EOC Assessments?  The goals of this workshop are to answer those questions and many others to help districts become proactive in planning for and preparing students for state-level assessments.
