Kemper Hall is home to the department of physics, astronomy and materials science, and provides space to the department of technology and construction management. The building also houses labs for advanced manufacturing, construction management and field engineering; a teaching lab for the department of geography, geology and planning; and several research labs for faculty in the College of Natural and Applied Sciences. Equipment in this building includes a Raman spectrometer, a scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffractometers (XRD) and related materials science equipment.
