The William H. Darr Agricultural Center, located in southwest Springfield, is a teaching, research and event facility supporting Missouri State University’s William H. Darr College of Agriculture. The center provides hands-on classroom, laboratory and field experiences in livestock management, equine studies, horticulture, agronomy, animal science, and wildlife conservation and management. Its agricultural grounds and research areas contribute to a larger area of green space in southwest Springfield, complemented by nearby city and county parks. The Darr Agricultural Center includes the Christopher S. Bond Learning Center, with classrooms, laboratories, conference facilities and event space, as well as Pinegar Arena, which supports equine and livestock education and activities. The center serves Missouri State students, faculty, researchers and the surrounding community while demonstrating the important role agriculture plays in southwest Missouri.
